First Business interviews our company president!

First Business, a finance-oriented news program, recently featured Genuine Scooter Company in a series of articles broadcast on its internet site as well as in hundreds of cable TV markets throughout the country. The article focused on the fun, light-hearted aspect of scootering as well as the scooter industry's role in providing economical transportation alternatives as fuel costs rise.

The article shows a clip of Genuine Scooter Company President Philip McCaleb taking newscaster Beejal Patel on a short scooter ride. We're not sure why he chose to ride on the sidewalk instead of the street, but at least they were wearing helmets. Listening to these Podcasts, it's evident that he has the same passion for scooters now as he did when he first flew through the streets of Athens on an old Vespa!

THE BUDDY scooter is now in use as a pacer

with many pro cycling teams, as shown in the February edition of VELONEWS. Amber Neben, Mara Abbott, and others on the women's national team are all using BUDDY scooters as pace vehicles. Cyclists nationwide are now discovering the joys of "Buddy training" with Buddy 125's and the new Buddy "pacer bar" which allows the cyclist to run his front wheel right up to the rear of the scooter.

Genuine Scooters Sponsors Woman's Cycling Team

Genuine Scooters Co. is proud to team up with the US Women's Cycling Development Program. The program develops the top female cycling talent in the US, including 2007 US National Champion Mara Abbott. Genuine will be providing sponsorship for the program, and is also in the process of developing specially equipped Buddy scooters for use as "motorpacing" vehicles on training rides.
